The Progressive Baptist State Convention is a group of Baptist churches affiliated with the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc., that come together to: Undertake and support various missions & outreach projects and causes, Provide Christian Education and ministry-related resources, Provide learning and training opportunities for clergy and laypersons,Promote and do the ministry of evangelism, provide scholarship assistance for those in post-secondary education, Assist churches that are in crisis or transition, Promote community development and empowerment, andsupport the objectives of the Progressive National Baptist Convention.
