The Progressive Baptist State Convention is a group of Baptist churches affiliated with the Progressive National Baptist Convention, Inc., that come together to 1) Undertake and support various missions & outreach projects and causes, 2) Provide Christian Education and ministry-related resources, 3) Provide learning and training opportunities for clergy and laypersons, 4) Promote and do the ministry of evangelism, 5) provide scholarship assistance for those in post-secondary education, 6) Assist churches in that are in crisis or transition, 7) Promote community development and empowerment, and 8) support the objectives of the Progressive National Baptist Convention.
